Expensive News – Sailing Yacht Featured in James Bond Film for Sale
The 138-foot sailing yacht featured in “Skyfall” is on the brokerage market with Engel & Völkers Yachting.
The 183-foot long schooner superyacht has teak decks that stretch from the tip of her bow to the stern. A sweeping promenade includes a 12-person table, a flat-bed sunlounge and a wet bar with a large-screen 3D television.
Now, the high-performance celebrity vessel featured in the 2012 film ‘Skyfall’ can be yours for a mere €8.85m or about $9.3m. Engel & Völkers Yachting is brokering the sale.
Built in 2011, the yacht was refitted last year and now has maximum speeds of up to 12 knots. Interiors materials used on the luxury sailing boat includes mahogany, marble and onyx. The master cabin has its own lounge and a private dressing closet. The vessel can accommodate up to twelve people with a total of six cabins, its listing says. Satellite television, a high-end music system and a jet ski are some of the amenities on board.
This isn’t the first time ‘Regina’ has been for sale. The yacht hit the market back in 2012 for €11m or about $14m back then.
‘Skyfall’, directed by Sam Mendes, stars Daniel Craig in his third performance as James Bond, Judi Dench and Ralph Fiennes . The film features an Academy Award-winning theme, sung by Adele. The shower scene with Bond and Severine, which is supposed to take place o the yacht, was actually filmed in room 712 of the Four Seasons Hotel at Canary Wharf in London.
